Housed in a building that was home to the largest leather tannery in the country at the turn of the 20th century, our Foundy Street location is an iconic staple in the heart of Asheville’s hip and vibrant River Arts District. Our love and appreciation for our local artists is evident throughout our space from our furniture and tap handles to the rotating artwork that adorns our exposed brick walls, and the street art murals on our exterior are among the most photographed sights in Asheville.
We offer a variety of unique spaces for private and semi-private event rentals. Whatever the reason for your gathering, Wedge can provide the space you need to host a memorable event that will have all your guests raving.
The Cloud Room

Seating for 60, Holds 130: Welcome to the Cloud Room! This 1500 square foot space features exposed brick walls, rotating artwork from local artists, and local handcrafted light fixtures and tables. Even though it’s our largest event space, holding up to 130 guests, the Cloud Room’s cozy vibe still manages to create an intimate experience for guests. The Cloud Room has its own private entrance, with access to reserved picnic tables on our patio.
The Mezzanine

Seating for 25, Holds 30: Our Mezzanine space is a hidden gem, tucked away in a loft overlooking the tasting room. With seating for up to 25 guests, this space features murals and artwork from local artists, and is great for business or board meetings, small gatherings, or as a fantastic addition to a Cloud Room rental for getting ready, a VIP area, or guest overflow!
The Courtyard

Seating for 50, Holds 60: With its covered picnic tables, and beautiful street art murals, our mostly private Courtyard space is the perfect spot to host a mid-sized al fresco soiree!
Private Events at the Wedge at Grove Arcade
Our newest tasting room, the Wedge at Grove Arcade, is one of the anchor spaces at “Asheville’s Original Mall”. Opened in 1929, the historic Grove Arcade boasts a rich history and ornate architecture. Wedge has brought some of it's River Arts District flair to downtown Asheville with rotating art installations featuring local artists. With a capacity for up to 50 people, and access to our outdoor patio, the Wedge at Grove Arcade is the perfect spot for your downtown Asheville private event.
